- 1 cup of cornmeal
- 1/2 cup of oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 teaspoons of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of anise seeds
- 2 eggs
- Mix all the ingredients together except the oil.
- In a shallow frying pan heat the oil.
- Pour the mix one spoonful at a time into pan, making small pancakes.
- Fry till golden brown on both sides.
- Serve immediately.
